Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men! Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks.
— Bl. Solanus Casey

We are pleased to announce that Camp

CAMP SOLANUS

Catholic Camp for middle school boys entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grade in fall 2025.

August 10-15th, 2025 at CYO Camp Hamilton

25405 Lake Fontal Rd, Monroe, WA 98272

A life of Discipleship, Friendship, and Leadership awaits….

Discipleship

At Camp Solanus, we are rooted in Prayer, and strive first and foremost to become Saints. We take Bl. Solanus Casey as our patron, who gave his life as an example of how to Love God in the small everyday moments of life.

Friendship

Throughout the week we’ll be having lots of fun with daily sports, games, and activities! When you first come to Camp you will be placed in a squad, and throughout the week you’ll grow closer as brothers on this journey together.

Leadership

We want to challenge you, whether you think you’re the next president or you find it hard to speak up, we’re all called to be leaders in different ways through our life. At Camp Solanus, you’ll learn what it means to be a leader, and be pushed just a bit further as one yourself.

***Our camp registration software is used usually for sports teams, so the program sometimes uses "Player" to refer to your son instead of "Camper".***

Campers are current middle school aged boys entering 7th, 8th, 9th grade in the fall of 2025.

F.A.Q’s

  • We use CYO Camp Hamilton, run by the Archdiocese of Seattle CYO Camps.

  • We are planning for 40-60 middle school boys to join us from across the Archdiocese. There will be at least one counselor/adult for every 4 campers.

  • "We are hopeful and planning that there will be Girls Camp in 2025! If you want more information about sending a camper or possibly joining the staff, please email us at girlscamp@stnicholascc.org or click the following link: https://www.stnicholascc.org/new-camp-for-girls

  • We named camp after Blessed Solanus Casey for a couple of reasons:

    1) Bl. Solanus serves as an example to all men of how to live Authentic lives as Catholic men, with Humility, Charity, and Strength.

    2) The origin of this camp was inspired by Pine Hills Camp, run in Ann Arbor, Michigan, by Renewal Ministries. Blessed Solanus ministered and was buried in Detroit. He is beloved in the southeast Michigan area. We found it to be a fitting homage to these roots for us to name camp after him!

  • Thank you for considering supporting Camp Solanus. Your contribution allows us to provide scholarships for some of our campers, as well as to provide travel for team in Michigan to come and join us in running camp. We are also able to send some team back to Pine Hills in Michigan to learn and train at “the big camp”! These are life changing experiences of Jesus for the campers and young men on staff.
