Start being brave about everything, driving out darkness and spreading light as well. Don’t look at your weakness, but realize that in Christ crucified you can do everything.

F.A.Q’s

  • Black Lake Bible Camp:

6521 Fairview Rd SW, Olympia, WA 98512

  • We are planning for 20-30 middle school girls to join us from across the Archdiocese. There will be at least one counselor/adult for every 4 campers.

  • "Yes! If you want more information about sending a camper or possibly joining the staff, please email us at camp@stnicholascc.org.

  • We named camp after Blessed Solanus Casey for a couple of reasons:

    1) Bl. Solanus serves as an example to all of how to live Authentic lives as Catholics, with Humility, Charity, and Strength.

    2) The origin of this camp was inspired by Pine Hills Camp, run in Ann Arbor, Michigan, by Renewal Ministries. Blessed Solanus ministered and was buried in Detroit. He is beloved in the southeast Michigan area. We found it to be a fitting homage to these roots for us to name camp after him!

  • Thank you for considering supporting Camp Solanus. Your contribution allows us to provide scholarships for some of our campers, as well as to provide travel for team in Michigan to come and join us in running camp. We are also able to send some team back to Pine Hills in Michigan to learn and train at “the big camp”! These are life changing experiences of Jesus for the campers and young women on staff. Thank you for partnering with us in this important mission! For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us at girlscamp@stnicholascc.org.
